Every season the Oakcliff team hosts two Safety at Sea Seminars to meet the safety requirements for international and national sailing regattas. This is the single day hands on course hosted by Oakcliff with US Sailing Moderator Sheila McCurdy. Online chapters 1-10 and 11-15 will need to be completed for the full certification and is not included in the price.

The Cows Trophy Race, first sailed in 1955 and won by Bill Ziegler on Bounding Home, is a wonderful race absolutely unique to the Stamford Yacht Club. It consists of an indeterminate number of legs all beginning and ending at Cows Bell R32.
